Whale Tale is a lovely beach house situated in the beautiful and quiet town of Yzerfontein, only a short walk to the beach. It has beautiful views of the ocean, Table Mountain and Dassen Island.

Michelle and Chadé have just a done revamp of the house, painting it from yellow to a lovely crisp white, replacing all the bedding with plush pillows and down duvets and adding that special touch here and there. Now you really get the feeling you are on a holiday somewhere in the Greek Isles.

The house comprises 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The ffirst bedroom has a double bed with en suit and the second bedroom has 1 three-quarter bed with en suit. The third bedroom has 2 bunk beds and the fourth bedroom has a king bed with an en-suite bathroom.

The open-plan living area has comfortable couches, 3 of which double as sleeper couches, ffireplace, TV and dining area. For guests enjoyment there is a braai area and a splash pool outside in an enclosed backyard. The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge, stove, oven, cutlery, crockery and a separate scullery with dishwasher.

The house is rented out at R3500 per night.

A variety of hiking trails are on offer, such as the Darling Stagger, Elandsfontein Private Reserve, Grotto Bay Coastal Nature Reserve, and Tienie Versveld Reserve. West Coast National Park is 20 km away, where wildlife such as eland, bontebok, springbok, steenbok, kudu, duiker, cape mountain zebra, caracal, African wild cat, and the bat eared fox can be seen. Other activities in Yzerfontein include wine tasting along the Darling Wine Route, and shell collecting along Pearl Bay.
